This colony comes from a molding portion of a mandarin’s skin plated on CMA.
The colony is very fluffy looking on the top, like freshly fallen snow or clouds. The colour on top varies between pure white to dark brown. The bottom shows clear ridges and is a very dark brown and black to a light orange.
I believe this fungi is Thielaviopusis basicola based on these observations.
