This fungus grew from a distance away from a withered leaf. It may have come from the leaf, since the leaf moved around a bit when I sampled it. It grew slowly, even without any competition. It grew about 1.5 in.in diameter in 2 weeks. It formed a fuzzy olive green colony with cross sectional wrinkles visible from the top and bottom, and has
a white border around it. This could be Aspergillus fumigatus since its border touches bacteria, while Penicillium
would inhibit the bacteria next to it.
