1) The sources are a wood chip taken from a rotting log (Burnaby Mountain) and a chip of concrete (m basement).
2) The fungi on the PDA plate appears to be fuzzy and white. It looks like a thick layer as well. There appears to be a bigger variety of fungi on CMA plate, but none of them have spread out much.
3) I think both of them are good media but for different reasons. The PDA plate grew more of a single species of fungi, which would make it a good media if one wanted to have large quantities of a specific fungi. The CMA plate grew more species but less quantity, which is ideal to observe species richness of a source.
