This sample was water from a fish tank filter and a piece of moldy blood worm found in the bottom of the tank. I have noticed prior to this course that fungus typically grows on any decaying plant or animal matter left in the tank. I am wanting to see this type of fungus larger and see what it is as it can easily affect the health of my fish. Hopefully using a piece of the already moldy blood worm will produce results of good fungal growth, and show if these units are found throughout the water in the tank.
