I took an air sample from my crested gecko’s enclosure, leaving the plates open on the bottom of the cage for an hour. Gecko’s need a high humidity environment but are very susceptible to lung issues if too many spores are present in the air. I wanted to check his tank and am curious what kind of fungi are present there compared to other parts of the house. I am expecting good fungal growth from this plate, I hope to isolate types that are not known to be extremely harmful for lizards and not in high concentrations.
