Mushroom was found in a smnall patch of forest near my house off the trail path , it was growing under a rock beside a log.

It has gills and they seem evenly spaced and close together, average thickness, gills might be adnexed or adnate.
Cap is smooth and convex in the center and flattens out and curves downards at the end = arched shape cap. Stem is central.

I think it might be a russula, it has a red cap and white gills, but the cap curves downwards at the end and it seems like russula might curve up.
