This is a tomato plant. It has many branches and leaves that were lively, firm, bright green, and had a pungent aroma in the summer. However, now that it’s Fall, they’ve turned brown and sad. When looking closer I noticed white growth and a lot of browning tissue. Some of the plant is still healthy, green, and firm, but the majority of the plant is now wilted, brown, and covered in this white growth. I’m interested to see if the plant is suffering from a fungal infection, because it still seems to be alive and producing (sad) fruit (tomatoes). I’m not sure if this is fungi, but if it is, I expect to see a lot of growth once plated on the media. If it isn’t, then maybe there won’t be any growth. Not sure what to expect!
