This was found in Surrey, BC, growing from the ground, underneath a western red cedar. This is a large, gilled mushroom. The cap colour is light brown to beige, began as convex and changed to a more flattened shape, the cap margins are undulating and the cap surface is is scaly. There is a thin partial veil remnant. The gills are free, pale in colour, broad breadth, average thickness, with crowded spacing. The gill edges are serrate to eroded. The stem is light brown coloured, and centrally located. The stem is equal and round, smooth above the veil ring and scaled below.
I think this is an Agaricus augustus [Prince] mushroom.
