This is a polypore fungus found in Chilliwack, BC, growing on tree trunk. This is a large, non-gilled, non-capped, hoof fungus. It features a dark coloured top with growth rings, and a beige underside. The surface is smooth and the edges are wavy.
I think this is a Fomes fomentarius [tinder polypore] fungus.
