Sample is from a piece of rotting potato skin. It would appear that this fungi however did not originate from the potato skin but rather was a contaminant from the air or elsewhere. Based on the characteristics: translucent bottom, large radial growth pattern which quickly covered the plate, and long sporangia hyphae that reach the lid of the plate this is most likely Rhizopus stolonifer. Plate must have been contaminated.
