This carrot found in the fridge crisper was held at 4 deg. Celsius when it developed this fungal growth. I am curious to see how fast this fungus will be able to grow in more optimal conditions with warmth and moisture. I am also interested to see the types of fungus that are affecting the produce in the fridge. I expect more than one type of fungi to grow from this sample, one part with a fuzzy white appearance and black like spots present.
