The blackish-red fungus was isolated from a Japanese maple tree. The bottom has a tint of orange and dark black-red section, while the top has orange with black/red colours. The growth rate was medium, and its pattern consist of concentrated dark pigment with red tint (if viewed from the top) from the source. I cannot identify this fungus from the 29 list. The closest candidate would be Cylindrocarpon destructans due to its burnt orange colour at the bottom when plated. However, C. destructans is white on top.
