This fungus was sampled from a decaying fig leaf. After two weeks it has covered approximately one-third of the petri dish, thus having a relatively faster growth rate compared to the other fungi growing the same plate. The top of the fungus is a grey/white blanket, with the bottom being mostly black with areas of lighter color with specks of black scattered throughout. Given its growth pattern and coloration, I would identify this fungus as Botrytis Cinerea.
