This colony of mould grew from the petiole of a sickly lemon balm leaf. This is grown on PDA media.

The colony grows radially and has a blueish green top and a yellowish white bottom. The colony is flat and has white edges. The centre of the bottom view is more yellowish compared to the edges. The growth rate is not especially fast, but it is not slow either.

I would ID this to be close to Aspergillus fumigatus, although it is definitely not that species due to the bottom of my sample being that yellowish white. I would suggest it might be close to Aspergilus because morphologically they both share a similar colouration and edge, as well as they are both relatively flat.
