This fungi colony was sourced from a green leaf with brown spots from PDA media. The colony has a nice colorful orange/ red colour with some brown/black and spreads in an irregular pattern. There is significant fast growth as it has taken up a quarter of the entire plate. It is darker in the middle and lighter at the margins which also shows some filaments. The bottom appears quite smooth and flat but the top which is less visible due to the white filaments, has light orange and fairly flat elevation. Based on the vibrant colours and growth pattern, I believe this fungus is Epicoccum nigrum.
