-The top two petri dishes are the top of the sample and beneath are the bottom pictures of the sample. The left side is the CMA medias and the right side petri dishes are the PDA medias.
-This is a tissue sample of soil from the Palm Tree in my garden.
-In the PDA it seems like the fungi growth is much faster, the mycelia are in fact trying to escape through the top of the petri dish. I can’t really tell if there’s more than one fungi in the PDA but the yellow color to me suggests maybe? It does look like overall though it may just be one fungi. In the CMA, the fungi growth is much slower and seems like it’s more focused on one part of the petri dish.
-The CMA would be better to isolate fungi from since it’s more slow growing than the PDA and you can actually see what you’re isolating from.
