The sample collected on these media is the air sample in the kitchen where there is a leaky (moldy) pipe in the vicinity. There is a wider diversity of fungi growing in the PDA (bottom) plate compared to the two visible fungi growing on the CMA plate. The diameters of the colonies growing on the PDA plate are also larger than the colonies of the same fungi growing on the CMA. PDA seems to provide a better growth medium given the larger colonies growing on it, as well as the greater variety of fungi being supported on the plate.
