For this photo I am sorry it is not super clear. There was a lot of condensation on the top but I wanted to take a photo as this was a really cool and vibrant fungi. This sample was isolated from a yellow leaf I took from the ground at Burns Bog. The top of the fungi is a light red colour with some white spots that may be part of this fungi or another that is growing on top. The bottom is a deeper red. This fungi started in the corner of the plate but has grown fast and taken over at least half the plate. There are other samples of this red fungi on the other side of the plate which could have grown from the spores of this fungi or from the green leaf on the other side. This fungi is level with the plate but the white parts are fluffy. I believe this could be from the genus Fusarium. Fusarium tend to be a light pink to deep red colour and can have small white portions on the surface which is what we see in this isolate.
