This fungus was found growing on the sunshine coast in a patch of grass in a lawn. Easily identified by the distinct cap, that is parabolic and a scaly appearance with an even edge, the gills are tucked up inside the cap of this mushroom. The stem appears to be even and central, with no veil visible. Closest representation of this mushroom is the shaggy ink cap, which is identified as being in the Coprinaceae family.
