This CMA plate contains a swab from my cat’s dry water dish. The mold in question is quickly extending throughout the plate. The thin, wispy hyphae climb to the top of the plate and end in small black sporangia. I believe this mold is Rhizopus stolonifer. However, it doesn’t not have the white mycelium we’d expect.
