1. The sample on the left side of the plate is a swab from the rubber liner of my washing machine. The sample on the right side of the plate is a piece of browning leaf from a lamb’s ear plant.
2. The molds are growing much faster on the PDA plate in both samples.
3. The PDA plate is definitely better for isolating mold in both cases as it shows the most growth; the CMA plate actually doesn’t show any mold growth at all from the washing machine swab.
