This fungus was sampled from a walnut bought in the bulk section of a grocery store. The fungus grew across the entire petri dish by the end of week 1. There are white mycelia growing with black specks throughout. There isn’t a distinct difference in coloration between the top and bottom. Given these morphological characteristics, I would assume the fungus to be Rhizopus Stolonifer.
