I found this unique mushroom growing from the ground alongside the trail. It was very distinct because it was one large fungus growing next to all these green leaves. The gilled mushroom has a bell-shaped cap with split cap margins. The surface seems fairly smooth with some wrinkles forming from the margins. There is no partial veil present, the gills are quite dark hard to distinguish but they appear to be crowded. The gills also look narrow and seceding. The stem is quite sturdy, lacking a bulb, centred and equal. Does not seem to be from any of the mushrooms we covered in class, but the grey colour and dark-blackening border on margins with dark gills may appear to be a coprinellus.
