The material used here is a tissue sample from grass in my front yard.
The mold is dark pink on the bottom and white on top. The pink bottom grew fast was able to see within 4 days. it has a radial pattern you can see vertical stripes coming out the middle. It was a much lighter pink at the beginning and has darkned a lot over 2 weeks.
I’m thinking it’s fusarium because of the pink colour on the bottom, but I’m confused by the white top, which makes me think maybe the white is a separate fungi because there is also orange peaking through the pink. The orange and white together lead me to belive that may be Cylindrocarpon destructans? with fusarium underneath ?
