I found a very sad pear at the back of my produce drawer and noticed some mold on it already, so I isolated from that area. This pear has definitely seen better days, as there was evidence of decay all over the poor forgotten pear. I imagine the mold I saw will spread and become abundant compared to any other fungus that may crop up.
