This is a swab from my dog’s toe and ear, but the toe section has overgrown to the ear section. The top is CMA and the bottom is PDA. The CMA does have roughly the same number of species but on the PDA the white fungi have overgrown all the rest making it difficult to see the previous colonies. I think that the CMA plate is better because it seems like the same white fungi is growing on both plates, but on the CMA the fungi is slower growing and not overtaking the entire plate, so I’m able to see more of the species which came from my dog.
