I took a swab from a shelf in my fridge. I wanted to sample the surface of the shelf to see if any fungi would be present in the cold temperature. Because even though the fridge has a cold temperature, it gets opened multiple times in a day and I want to know if that would make a difference for fungi to be present. I am hoping and assuming there would be no to very low fugal growth because fungi are not supposed to grow in cold places.
