I took a sample of the air outside my sundeck. I let the plates sit out there for about an hour. I chose to sample the air outside my sundeck because we have a lot of trees covering our backyard. And I want to see if air that passes through a lot of trees, carries more fungal spores than the air with less trees/plants. Generally, I want to know what type of fungal spores are out there, specifically close to my house. I am expecting to see low-moderate amount of fungal growth because it was pretty windy the day I sampled, and I am assuming more spores would have been travelling around and probably some of them got caught onto my plate.
