The source for these fungi is on the left side of the plate, a rotting tomato that i swabbed, and on the right side, a piece of spotty spinach that i placed on the plate. Both pieces of spinach on each plate are from the same leaf. For the spinach, interestingly, there appears to be next to no growth on the CMA plate (that on the left, with the black star), and for the tomato, there is minimal growth compared to what is seen on the PDA plate. The spinach side of the CMA plate also appears to maybe have some contamination as the white spots are not seen on the PDA plate. This being said, it looks like fungi from both these sources grew better on the PDA plate so it appears that the PDA is a better-suited media for these fungi.
