This fungi was taken from CMA media as an indoor air sample from my shoe closet. The fungi has colonies spread out all over the plate of varying sizes. At the bottom, there is a smooth circular disc in the middle with white filamentous extensions growing out from it. On the top, it appears rough, circular in shape with rings of cream and green, with white filamentous extensions at the margins. I believe this fungi is likely Aspergillus based on the similarities in morphology and due to its common growth in the air. A difference I noticed in this colony is the amount of rings present which are sometimes not as distinct.
