1) I found this mushroom growing on the side of a rotting, fallen log in the forest on SFU mountain.
2) It didn’t have a cap as there was no stipe, but the top view was dimidiate. The margin was even or appendiculate. The surface looked smooth. There was no partial veil and no gills that I could see.
3) This could be Trametes versicolor. One of the “caps” in my photo looks very similar to that in the lab notes and is growing on a similar looking substrate. However, it could be totally different species of “shelf-looking” mushroom.
