This rusty fungus was found growing on a decaying log in Pacific Spirit. The front has a dark orange center, with a gradient that becomes lighter as you approach the edges, leaving a white rim. On the back, it has faint gilling. The faintness of the gills may be linked to the young age of the fungus. I would ID this polypore as Gloeophyllum Sepiarium.
