The plates contain samples from a fresh pear and a rotten pear. The left plate is the CMA media, and the right plate is the PDA media. The left side of both CMA and PDA plates are from the fresh pear, and the right side are from the rotten pear. Although the CMA plate seems to have fungi covering more area of the plate, the rotten pear sample in the CMA plate slid around during plating, so the fungal growth isn’t uniform in that plate. The fungi in the PDA plate also looks more dense than that in the CMA plate. Overall the PDA plate seems to be the better media in terms of growing fungi, since the fungi seem much more dense in the PDA plate than the CMA plate.
