On the left side, there is a piece of leaf from my rosebush. On the right side, there is a piece of leaf from my tomato plant. This is a bit hard to see in the picture, but on the PDA plate (bottom), white mycelia from the tomato leaf has taken over most of the plate and sort of restricted fungi from the rose leaf to a small section of the plate. On the CMA plate, the white mycelia from the tomato leaf is taking up about half of the plate, allowing fungi from the rose leaf to spread out more. I think that the PDA media is better here, because it has allowed the fungus from the tomato leaf to do much better and spread out much faster.
