There were two samples plated on each plate first is a small moss tissue sample, and the second sample is a leaf tissue sample from my cat’s favourite plant. The top plate was CMA and allowed both samples to grow fungi, with the moss samples fungi growing faster and taking over more of the plate. The PDA plate allowed the moss sample to grow rapidly and it has taken over almost all of the plate, and growing onto of the leaf tissue fungi. The leaf tissue fungi on the PDA plate grew larger than the CMA plate. The better media for these samples was the PDA plate, which had nutrients and growing conditions that allowed for more growth which has taken up more of the plates available area than the other plate. I did notice that it seems like both plates allowed for the same fungi to grow, the only difference was the size of the fungal growth.
