I found this fungus while hiking in Lynn Valley area, growing on a log near the river. It was quite hard, and had no hairs on the top or bottom but was sort of bumpy on top. The bottom was pure white with many pores. The fungus was 4 or 5 inches across. I think this is a turkeytail fungus, Trametes versicolor, because it looks really similar and has all the same characteristics.
