The sample for this plate was taken from a sad looking brown spot on a potato from my kitchen. The fungi is quite fluffy and cloudy looking, it grew quite tall on the plate and has taken up most of the space. Its hard to see in the photo, but if you look closely you can see that there are white stalks with black tips. Overall it appears grey and murky. This fungi is likely Rhizopus stolinifer because of its shared characteristics, such as white mycelia with black spots. However the underside of my sample is a bit darker than what is shown as an example from class.
