The photo shows the backside of the plates. The sample source came from outside soil where it sprinkled over both media. The PMA plate is on the left and CMA plate is on the right. Both plates had a fast growth, but the PDA seem grew faster if I compare the brightness of the white colour in both plates. The CMA was more uniform (the only white colour is visible) and is duller in terms of colour. The PDA plate seemed to have a higher concentration of fungus based on the brightness of the white colour. Since the concentration of PMA is much greater, PMA would be better media for soil. However, if we wanted to test only the white fungus, CMA can be used as a media.
