The photo shows the backside of the plates. The samples contain from the outside air. Here, we have the PMA plate on the right and the CMA plate on the left. The PMA plate exhibited a faster growth over the CMA plate. PMA plate seems to be a better media to see what types of fungi grow in the air, but CMA plate seems to be a better choice if we want to isolate specific fungi since the growth is slower.
