This mushroom was growing on a fallen log in a forest and had English ivy growing around it. The cap is smooth and convex with an even edge. No apparent partial veil. Gills are narrow and attached adnate to the stem. They are of an average thickness with even edges. The stem is central and possibly flexuous. Bulb is unknown.
This is potentially a Lactarius species. Some Lactarius mushrooms have smooth orange caps.
