I decided to take a leaf sample that had fallen off my apple tree as well as one that was still on the tree. The leaf that was on the ground had damaged tissue with many brown spots which is why I wanted to compare it to the leaf still on the tree that didn’t really have any brown spots. The one on the ground was also a darker orange/brown colour then the one on the tree. I expect to see higher fungal growth on the leaf found on the ground compared to the leaf found on the tree.
