1) I am focusing on the white-ish mold growing in the bread. This is from my PDA plate.
2) The fungi looks like a mat of fine hairs in a semi-opaque white colour. It actually looks similar to the bread itself. It didn’t spread out very far from the bread piece.
3) I think this could be Geotrichum candidum because both have fine, hair-like mycelia that is white. However, my fungi did not produce any dormant structures like the other fungi often does, so I cannot be completely sure of this identification.
