1) I am interested in looking at the red coloured fungi, which is growing around the concrete chip (from my house). This is from my CMA plate.
2) The colour is a vibrant red-orange but a white mold has grown over the top. From the bottom, there appears to be a darker red spot in the middle and the mold has spread to take up around 1/4 of the plate area.
3) I think this could be Cylindrocarpon destructans because they both have a bright reddish colour with a dark red spot in the middle. However, my plated mold lacks the gradient from red to a thin ring of orange/yellow that the other fungi has.
