Sampled from the air around my back patio. The bright yellow on the bottom of the colony immediately caught my eye. The colour is somewhat muted in this picture, but it’s bright yellow like a dandelion. One the top, there appears to be another fungus growing on top of it, but from what I can see it is brown at least on the edges, with a dusty-looking texture. some yellow shows on the top, but is obscured by the other fungus growing on top of it. The bottom is bright yellow and reminds me of Epicoccum, however the top of the fungi is generally more brown than colourful like epicoccum, and I would have expected more reddish tones to be present if it were epicoccum. The brown, somewhat powdery texture of the top does look similar to some of the fungi we have gone over in the lab, but none of those fungi are known for having such a bright yellow colouration on the bottom. Due to these traits, I do not think I can ID this fungi. I thought it looked really cool though with the bright yellow colour on the bottom.
