I used a small amount of vacuum dust as my source material. These pictures were taken from the PDA plate. The colony exhibits a radial growth pattern. The top of the colony is a blue-greenish colour with a white border. The bottom of the colony is a yellow-green colour. The growth rate was very fast compared to the other type of fungi growing on the same plate.I think this mold looks like Penicillium chrysogenum the most. This is because of the white edges fading to green and the radial growth pattern that the Penicillium chrysogenum contain. The only difference between my fungi and P. chrysogenum is that in P. chrysogenum, the white edges fading to green is present on both the top and the bottom. This obviously didn’t happen in my plate. Because of this, I am not sure if this is a Penicillium species or something else.
