The same mold grew on both of the samples on this plate (hard to get a photo of just this fungi, as there are many types of mold on this plate!). Both are leaf samples taken from yellowing leaves found on some of my house plants. The mold in this picture is chalky bluish-green on the top with a white outer ring, and yellow/white on the bottom. You can see that there are some ridges going from the centre to the edge (more clear on the bottom), and some water droplets forming on the top (bottom left in photo). These characteristics are most similar to those found in Penicillium chrysogenum, however the colouration of the bottom is yellow instead of blue-green. There are also similarities in top colouration with the fungi Aspergillus fumigatus, however more similarities are shared with Penicillium.
