The left plate is PDA, the right plate is CMA.
each plate contains samples from kitchen sink and bathroom sink. The growth is much faster on the PDA plate for the sample from kitchen sink compared to CMA plate. so PDA is a better media for the fungi. However, no difference is seen between the two plates for sample from bathroom sink. The area of growth from bathroom sink on both plates is very small and growth rate is similar on both plates. bathroom sink is probably not a very favorable area for fungi growth because even though it is wet but there are no organic materials to support the fungi growth. However, there are more organic material (food particles) around the kitchen sink so more favorable for fungi to grow and spread and between PDA and CMA, PDA provided a better growth condition for the sample allowing it to grow faster and make a denser colony.
