I sampled a piece of stem from this ivy vine that was growing up a tree of unknown identity. I chose it because it stood out to me as being beautiful and I was curious to see what was growing on it. I’m not sure what level of fungi I expect to see, but I imagine there are fewer fungi growing from the stem than those that may be growing on the leaves.
