These plates contained two samples each 1) a healthy purple plant leaf tissue sample 2) a dying pansy leaf tissue sample. The top plate was CMA media and it allowed both sample to grow fungi, with the dying pansy tissue having a much larger growth size compared to the purple leaf. The PDA media plate allowed both samples to grow fungi, however this plate had a much denser and darker fungi growth from the pansy leaf. the healthy purple tissue sample allowed a different fungi to grow than the CMA plate and it looks like it may have a halo of protection around it. The PDA plate was the better media due to the larger and thicker fungi growth from the pansy leaf, this may be because it has nutrients that those fungi prefer to use to grow.
