The photo shows the backside of the plates. The samples were taken from wetland water. The PMA plate is on the left, while the CMA plate on the right. The PMA plate displayed a visible diversified growth over the CMA plate. Overall, the PMA plate seems to be a better medium for this type of sample. Since there was not much growth in the CMA plate, it would be unideal to the identity or isolate the fungus from this plate.
